I AM SO BAD ABOUT POSTING i mean seriously, total silence since crimbo. how long have i been on LJ and i'm still not used to making posts i should just spam this place with memes until i feel better about doing stuff.

1. Tell us about your favouritewriting project/universe that you've worked with and why.
my favourite projects and the ones i've gotten the furthest with have got to be angel game and demon game, the latter of which is a me + dox working together deal. my college programming project will be over with next week so i'll be able to devote some time to programming this aaaa so excited
also hahaha i didn't notice my two pet projects went together so well until just now. i'll have to sneak in some references between the two behind dox's back
Angel game is this guy investigating mysterious goings on at some hotel not inspired by anything coughhotelduskcough
he has wing-shaped eyebrows but you can't really tell here
demon game is these guys (zoey to the left, mitch to the right) saving the world and idk how much detail me and dox agreed to go into here I WOULDN'T WANT TO SPOIL IT SO WHATEVER
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
twelve in total, three of which are female and nine of which are male. kind of a male bias there but that's just how it turned out rather than any huge preference for men. i guess they're just my default or something
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?
i like to use names that are the opposite of the character's personality just for laughs, or just a title (eg. Captain) or just whatever first pops into my head
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
when i was a kid i used to write either digimon fiction or this set of stories about a bunch of animals having wacky adventures or something. i can barely actually remember, i wonder if mum and dad kept them to embarrass me or something i should find out
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
that one dinosaur alien maid is the youngest and cal is the oldest (unless the angel lot have weird angelic ages since they're probably immortal or SOMETHING)
6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?
in the back room, midnight because i like to write without anyone else around, computer
7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
i listen to music all the time so YEAH but not any specific songs just a weird mix of everything. don't really apply songs to anyone
8. What's your favourite genre to write? To read?
i like writing mysteries even though i'm absolutely terrible at them. i love reading mysteries, humour and time travel and i intend to do something time travelly at some point
9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
they tend to just come to me as i'm going about my business, or they're made to fit into an already made story
10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
i can't really think of any that don't spoil huge story twists. probably captain's is but that's standard because its SCI FI in SPACE. he has an alien dinosaur maid who illegally works for him despite being underage, that's probably weird.
11. Who is your favourite character to write? Least favourite?
probably slinki is my favourite. i find mitch an interesting guy to think about too
least favourite probably angel guy because he's kind of boring at the moment, same with barry
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of worldbuilding? Any side-notes on it you'd like to share?
i haven't done an ounce of worldbuilding in any story ever hahaha I SHOULD DO, ESPECIALLY DEMON GAME
13. What's your favourite culture to write, fictional or not?
MY OWN BECAUSE I'M BORING
14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
i've never even thought about mapping locations out but once again i SHOULD

i tend to have some in mind but i only ever go so far as to hint at the mere possibility of a relationship. and idk if someone wanted me to write something that went "far" i'd do it but i don't think i'd bother on my own
17. Favourite protagonist and why!
GERARD because i guess i just have a soft spot for cowards overcoming their weaknesses or whatever
although i can't actually really imagine him overcoming his pyrophobia HE TRIES THOUGH
18. Favourite antagonist and why!
howard is my only antagonist who isn't a spoiler hahahah if he wasn't such a huge bitch i'd like his style
19. Favourite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!
deanne used to be a minor character but i've been toying with a plot for the superheroes lot (gerard, howard and deanne) and she'll probably end up having a way bigger role than originally
20. What are your favourite character interactions to write?
MITCH AND ZOEY they're cool even if they can be depressing, but i think the depressing stuff is part of their charm
21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?
captain and slinki have a child alien dinosaur maid i guess?? they're just pretending to have adopted her so she can do all their cleaning work for them without the cops getting all suspicious. if RARRRR /SWEEPS FLOORS is good writing then yeah
22. Tell us about one scene between your characters that you've never written or told anyone about before! Serious or not.
can't really think of any that aren't spoilers or boring. i tend to think more about overall plot that individual scenes mostly
23. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story—from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
hahaha, completion. that's a good one
24. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What's the most interesting way you've killed someone?
in one of them the entire cast dies so yeah.
they just all get shot though.

not really. my character designs usually come from weird doodles which get personalities after appearance, i've done it the other way around a few times but that's harderrrr. in that case i just play around until i find something i think is cool/suits them (this explains why i have three characters with sideburns probably)
28. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there's nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.
cal only has one leg and pawhands which make him not very good at working, which is why R.B. does the money earning if i remember right GOD THAT WAS AGES AGO

QUITE A BIT not all the time but at least sometimes. i think most of either demon lot, angel lot or superhero lot. cooking always reminds me of mitch and zoey, other obviously connected stuff reminds me of other characters.

i forgot my stupid fat browser tries to correct everything to american spelling ffff. i ended up copy+pasting everything into microsoft word then back. i also went through and translated the questions into british spellings in revenge. TAKE THAT, GOOGLE CHROME! TAKE THAT, AMERICA!!
